My 2018 Focus is an Experimentation on Fitness Techniques I want to prove or disprove.
I have achieved a lot of my goals since I started my journey a couple of years ago. Above is a reminder of how far I have come.
I celebrate this, not because of pride, but because I want to remember the amount of hard work and dedication I put in.
- Went from 265lbs down to 180lbs
- From obese to a normal BMI
- Over 35% body fat to below 16% body fat
- From a size 2XL shirt to a M shirt
- From a 44 inch waist to a 34 inch waist
- And finally from fat, tired and unhealthy to a clean bill of health from my doctor 2 years in a row, including my blood work.
But now I am finding myself not at the end of my journey but at the beginning of a new one. I feel like there are so many fitness techniques, myths, and ideas out there that it is confusing.
And in 2018 I plan on testing some of them and reporting to you on how they work or don’t work for me.
Here are some of the techniques that I plan on trying in 2018 although not necessarily in this order.
Gaining weight to gain muscle.
Cutting phase, or competition cutting program.
Personal Trainer Sessions are they worth it?
Functional Fitness incorporating more compound movements in my workout.
Cross Fit moves and Cross Fit crossover training.
Nutrition Changes and Different Nutrition Strategies.
Fitness Classes or Alternative Training.
So lets get started, the first thing we will experiment on is working with a personal trainer, is it worth it.
So check it out…
