Living Well and Being Mindful of your Health

 

Get regular checkups, at least yearly, seeing your regular doctor, a dentist, and eye doctor.

 

As we age we need to take even greater care of our bodies. There are colonoscopies at the age of 50, our eye sight tends to get worse, and aches and pains become magnified.

 

It is more important that we take care of our bodies and we have regular checkups to head off any medical problems that could arise.

 

Living Well and Take Care of your Mental Health

 

A lot of people neglect their mental health. We are seeing a sharp increase in mental health issues plague our country. From depression, to anxiety, to rampant substance abuse.

 

We need to make sure that we are addressing our mental health as well as we take care of our medical health. While medical health deals with our bodies, mental health deals with the mind.

 

The mind is a large place which resides many mysterious things. Things we still do not understand well to this day. Take care of your mind just as well as you take care of your body. Its that important.

 

Living Well and Having Some Fun…

 

Hey we work hard. Right? Each and every day we eat right, exercise, and work hard to make a great life for ourselves. So why shouldn’t we enjoy it?

 

Well the answer to that is… WE SHOULD! So lets talk about the fun recreational things we do. How to play, fun things in life, and activities we can do to make life more enjoyable.

 

After all we didn’t do all this work just to sit on the sideline. We want to get into the game and play!

What greater joy is there than working towards your true purpose in life. A fit body and healthy mind can do more work. A body that is rundown will impair the mind, and your ability to do good things!

 

It does not matter if you have a boss or are self employed. A fit body-mind-spirit life will help you become Your Own BRAND.

 

And by this definition… you are always working for yourself.

 

But today’s jobs have moved away from the active workplace and have placed us in dangerous and unhealthy “boxy” work cells (called cubicles).

It is in this desk-box jungle we become unhealthy as we sit in positions unnatural to our body, Then you sit in a car on your way home to your comfortable couch.

 

On comes the TV where we sit for another 4-5 hours while drowning our sorrows in fat laden high calorie comfort food.

 

All leading to our butts sitting an average of 13 hours per day. Over eating sometimes 1000 or more calories per day. And then berating ourselves mentally over these failures, crushing our spirits.

 

No wonder our lives are beat down, our minds are dull, our spirits crushed, and our bodies run down. And the spiral continues downward. So let’s discuss how you can live a fit life at work.
