What is Wellness? How did you achieve your body transformation?

Wellness in the 2nd half of life

Wellness in the 2nd half of life requires a body-mind-spirit connection!

To live life better after 45 will take more mind, body, and spirit power than ever before. Your body is resistant, your mind steadfast, and the spirit stubborn.

To break through all the past bad habits, miss-information, and stubborn notions you will need to relearn everything you have been taught about nutrition, movement, and living.

In other words trying to get different results by using the same old thinking us just INSANE. You need to use your mind-body-spirit connection to change your life.

I can impart my experience to help guide and inspire you, but you have to make the changes for yourself. If you are over 45, I can help with the process because you are probably suffering some of the same things I did…

Wellness in the 2nd half of life

Are you overweight or obese? Almost 3 in 4 men are in this classification. 74%, so there is a good chance you are.

Do you suffer from some type of pain? 40% of the population has a chronic illness with over half having multiple conditions. 80% of people will experience back pain, and over 100 million people have chronic pain.

Have you or are you now experiencing some kind of mental illness? 1 in 5 Americans suffer from mental illness every year.

Do you sit around all day? 25 to 35 percent of us live a sedentary lifestyle. That number actually rises the older you get. Most of us sit for around 13 hours a day or more.

How is your marriage? Nearly half of us have been divorced. And the rate climbs in subsequent marriages.

Do you have a quick mind? Brain function starts declining as early as 45 and some studies show it can be even earlier.

Do you see a Doctor every year? Testosterone levels are lower, blood pressure and cholesterol are rising. We are getting sicker.

Do you get enough rest? Are you getting less than 6 hours a sleep at night and do you snore?

Do you love what you do? More American are dissatisfied at work, and almost all American live with some regret.

And the list goes on and on.

OK, So how can connecting the mind, body, and spirit help me, ARISE ABOVE 45, I want to know how?

I had all of these issues happening to me. Every single one, and maybe even a few more. Well undoubtedly more! I had been there and as the saying goes “done that”, or more accurately failed at that.

I can tell you how I overcame these issues, maybe inspire you to start on your own wellness path, and share changes you can use to live a life of wellness and start your own transformation.

Helping others to develop the connection between the body-mind-spirit that resides in each of us.

We are living in the best of times in our relatively short history. There are numerous advances in technology that make our lives better.

These help us live longer, yet the statistics show that we are getting more unhealthy despite all these advances.

Lets Arise Over 45, Here is How I did it…

Lets talk about getting in the best shape of your life during the 2nd half. Many would say that this is an impossible task. But with all we know today, on how to eat properly, build lean muscle, and live healthier, we can truly live a better life after the age of 45.

So lets get going and enjoy the 2nd half of life better than the first. Living a fit life over 45 is a lot easier than you think. This is how I lost over 70 lbs in 2016 and my journey of getting into the best shape of my life.

I will show you how I did it:

What caused me to want to make this change.
Why it is important to have the support of those around you.
How I exercised and adopted a healthy eating lifestyle.
When you should start maintaining your weight and enjoying the new you!

Why the Change of Heart?

I talk about the reasons that I started this new lifestyle change.
Reveal my starting statistics and outline my initial goals.
Finally I go over the plan that I used to achieve my goal.

How did you Mentally Prepare to do this?

One of the most important things I had to do was prepare myself mentally for this transformation. There have been many times I have started things and have given up on them.

But this time I wanted it to be different so I decided that I would prepare myself differently this time to make sure I succeeded.

What helped me decide to change?

How did I make these changes, mentally so they would stick?

Finally, how did you deal with the mental challenges that stood in the way of success?

What is so Important about a Support Network?

This was very important in making sure my success was ongoing and long term. Too many times before my spouse and I started dieting and working out at different times.

Then inevitably one sabotaged the other into giving up. So having her support and both of us changing our life style at the same time was critical to my overall success.

Who SHOULD and SHOULD NOT be in your support network?

How do you support yourself?

What are the ways you can get support from other sources?

How did you Start your Transformation Journey?

My journey started slowly. I have lifted weights before so I knew I would get very sore if I just went in there and pounded the iron heavy and hard.

So to get acclimated to things without being overwhelmed I took it slow. And Sore! So here are some of the things I did to take it easy on myself.

I looked around for a gym to workout in, I thought this would be easy. Learn from my mistake and read about the biggest mistake I made when choosing a gym.

Outline an easy workout till my fitness level improved.

Study the best exercises, fat loss methods, cardio styles and ways to stay motivated.

Setup tracking methods that were easy to use and quick.

Constantly re-evaluating my progress and continuing with things that worked and getting rid of things that did not.

Achieving My First Goal – Now what should I do?

I hit my first weight loss goal and my fitness level was increasing. And now it was time to ramp it up and get serious.

So I set a new goal and went about attacking the left over fat. Literally chomping it off bit by bit until I got down to my goal weight.

The End is near and a healthy life awaits!

The time is finally here. The end of my journey. The last 10 pounds before I am at my goal. This is probably going to be the hardest thing I have yet to do.

But I am determined and ready to shine. I am ready to Be MAKO Fit. And in the best shape of my life after the age of 45.

The second half of my life will not be wasted.

I will have a better life, a healthy body, and I will be able to do more with a fit body, sound mind, and charitable spirit.

You can too, all you need to do is take that very first step. Think that first thought, grow it and turn it into action.

Build a Powerful Body… Its fairly easy and only includes a few simple things?

Eat Well: learn to eat only non-processed foods and fuel your body for performance.

Move Well: humans are meant to move, we are powerful and strong.

Think Well: understand the powerful and restorative benefits of a good working mind.

Live Well: use the body-mind-spirit connection to work towards a purposeful life.

To Enlighten the Mind is to know… and what is going on in your mind will show up in your life… So Make it Amazing!

As early as 45 our brain function can start to decline. I believe in constant learning and improving brain function during the second half of life.

Dedicate yourself to be a life long learner and increase your knowledge. Make it a priority to increase your brain power.

Improving memory function, increasing knowledge, and focus training are all ways we can help strengthen the mind.

This will help us work better, live better, and think better.

What would life be without things we are passionate about. Our passions and interests help us grow, keep us from getting bored, and allow us to have a higher degree of fulfillment.

When we learn about something we enjoy, we retain that knowledge quicker, and more completely. Therefore never give up on learning, become an EXPERT IN YOURSELF.

Learn and Improve your Mind Everyday of your Life! Think to be Fit!

Endurance and Living Well is the greatest thing that comes from being able to Nourish the Spirit…

Deep in the innermost regions of yourself, your spirit, you should have peace. There should be an over-reaching faith that guides your life. And gives you a purpose to your work.

Your faith will help you be secure in the moment, knowing that your actions today will predict future results. You are rooted in your solid purpose in life and moving ever forward.

HAVE A PURPOSE-PRENEURIAL SPIRIT

Now is your time to shine, find your purpose in life and act on it. Learn great ways to help move your purpose along. Become an entrepreneur of yourself.

Find the motivation, fuel your desire, and set goals to help you succeed. Then dedicate yourself constantly to staying on track till you achieve your goals.

LET FAITH GUIDE YOUR SPIRIT

You don’t have to be religious to have faith. The best definition of Faith is “an unending hope for things we cannot see”. When setting goals, working towards purpose, and finding inner peace, faith is the key.
You will be working towards something you just cannot see yet, but you will achieve if you have faith, and know it will come to pass.

FIND THAT INNER PEACE THAT RESIDES IN YOUR SPIRIT

Just as the sun rises in the morning and breaks the darkness so is there light inside you that wants to shine forth. That light, when shining, is love, and it can radiate out to illuminate the world.

Find it, let it shine all around, be grateful, serve others, and count your blessings. Then you will have inner peace.

Want total Wellness? Its fairly easy and includes only a few things?

Move Well: Make your body a powerful machine that can do amazing things.

Think Well: learn all that you can, improve your memory and focus.

Be Well: find your purpose in life and move towards it with faith always helping others. Remember the golden rule.

Live Well: smile, be positive, and take time to enjoy life in the moments you can. Make the body-mind-spirit connection and live your life in total wellness.

and avoid these eight things…

So what is next step, where do I go from here?

Do you want to transform your body? Are you FAT, depressed, sedentary, unfulfilled, or just tired of being unhealthy? I was all of these, and I changed. And I can help you change too. That is all it takes, a true desire to change, deep commitment, and unwavering faith in yourself.

So what if we fail a little on the way, or things don’t go as we plan. We pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off, and try again with a different approach. We keep our long term goal of overall health at the front of our “get IT done list” and each day we do things that will help us achieve this goal.

In The End…

If you are lazy, making excuses, or someone who quits then you may not be ready to change.

If you are like me and had enough, then lets get started!

It does not matter if you are just beginning or trying again for the fiftieth time. If you put your mind in the right place and dedicate yourself to changing your health then you can do it to!
